Cephalopod Total Catch Geodistribution

This animated image shows 1997 Cephalopod total catch in 4 different areas: NE Atlantic, Portugal coast, Saharan Bank, and SE Mediterranean.
The bathymetric contour of -2000m is also shown (arbitrary extend of the continental shelf).

Catch is dispersed in all areas with monthly peaks in East and West English Channel as well as Scotish waters, South Portugal Coast and North Aegean Sea (SE Mediterranean).
